Fridge Freezers for sale

New fridge freezers from £329, delivered and installed across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire — with your old one taken away and recycled.

Fridge freezers are the appliance we sell most of, and the choices that matter are the split, the format and the cooling technology. We supply 50:50, 60:40 and 70:30 splits in freestanding and integrated formats, plus frost-free and static models, from Bosch, Samsung, LG, Beko, Hotpoint, Indesit, Liebherr, AEG, Zanussi, Siemens and Neff. Because we repair these appliances daily across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, we can tell you which models come back with damper and fan faults and which ones we rarely see at all. Installation is by our own engineers rather than a delivery contractor. We position and level the appliance with the slight rearward tilt that makes the doors self-close and the drain run properly, reverse the door hinges if you need them the other way, transfer or fit the decor doors on integrated models with the correct sliding or fixed hinge system, and — importantly for integrated appliances — verify the housing ventilation meets the manufacturer's specification. Blocked integrated ventilation is one of the most common causes of poor performance in new kitchens and it's easier to fix at installation than later. We advise on the settling period before switching on, set both compartments and verify the running temperatures with calibrated thermometers. Your old appliance is removed for specialist WEEE refrigerant recovery at no extra cost.

Before you buy: is repairing cheaper?

Fridge freezers repair well because the most common failures are airflow and defrost components rather than the sealed system. A freestanding fridge freezer costs £400–£800 new and an integrated one £600–£1,100 once fitting and decor door transfer are counted, so the 50% rule leaves plenty of room for a £90 call-out plus the part. Evaporator fans, air dampers, defrost heaters, thermostats, NTCs, drains and door seals are all sound repairs on an appliance up to twelve years old. Typical lifespan is 10 to 14 years for mid-range models and 15 to 20 for Liebherr, Miele and similar. The clear replace decision is a sealed-system failure. A seized compressor or a refrigerant leak costs more to locate and properly repair than most domestic fridge freezers are worth, and a simple top-up without leak repair is neither lawful nor durable, so we won't offer one. Because this appliance runs continuously, in-use energy genuinely matters — a fifteen-year-old fridge freezer with failed seals can use two to three times the electricity of a modern equivalent. But a well-sealed, correctly serviced older appliance is close enough to modern efficiency that repair still wins, and we'll tell you honestly which situation yours is in before you spend anything.

Buying guide

How to choose the right fridge freezer

Choose the split by how you actually shop

50:50 suits households that batch cook and freeze; 60:40 is the everyday standard; 70:30 gives a large fridge and small freezer and suits people who shop fresh and often. Think about which compartment you currently run out of space in — that answers the question better than any general rule.

Frost-free or static

Frost-free removes the annual defrosting chore and keeps drawers usable, but adds a defrost heater and control circuit and uses marginally more electricity. Static models are cheaper, quieter and simpler but need defrosting once or twice a year. For most kitchens frost-free is worth it; for a rarely-opened second appliance, static is fine.

Twin cooling versus shared evaporator

Twin-cooling models give each compartment its own evaporator, which prevents odour transfer, keeps the fridge more humid so salad lasts longer, and means a fault in one compartment doesn't automatically affect the other. They cost more. If you've been annoyed by odour transfer or wilting vegetables, this is the feature to look for.

Integrated versus freestanding

Integrated appliances fit a standard 1,772mm tall housing behind decor doors and look seamless, but cost more, offer less capacity for the footprint, and depend entirely on the housing having correct ventilation. Freestanding is cheaper, more efficient, easier and cheaper to service, and easier to replace in future.

Energy rating over a continuous life

This appliance runs 24 hours a day for 10 to 14 years, so the label translates directly into money. Under the 2021 scale, D or E is typical, C is good, B or better is excellent. Over a twelve-year life the difference between an E and a B is commonly £300–£500 in electricity, often exceeding the price gap.

Noise for open-plan kitchens

38dB or below is genuinely quiet, 40–42dB is normal, 45dB and above is noticeable in the evening. An inverter compressor runs more of the time at variable speed rather than switching on and off abruptly, which most people find far less intrusive even at the same nominal dB figure.

Water and ice dispensers

Plumbed dispensers are excellent but add a water line, an inlet valve, a filter you must replace every six months, and an ice maker — all extra things that can fail. Non-plumbed tank models avoid the plumbing but need refilling. If you rarely use ice, skipping the feature reduces both cost and future repair exposure.

Check the door swing and the aperture

Standard freestanding fridge freezers are 595–600mm wide and 1,700–2,010mm tall; check both the gap and the ceiling or wall unit above. Confirm which way the door needs to open, and whether the model's hinges are reversible — we reverse them free at installation but only if the model allows it.

Questions
Do you install the new fridge freezer and remove the old one?

Yes, both included. We position and level the appliance, reverse the doors if needed, fit the decor doors on integrated models, check the housing ventilation and verify both compartment temperatures before we leave. The old appliance goes for specialist WEEE refrigerant recovery at no extra charge.

How long should I wait before switching a new fridge freezer on?

Four hours if it has travelled upright and at least 12 if it has been on its side, so the compressor oil can drain back out of the refrigerant lines. Then allow four to six hours to reach temperature before loading it. Switching on too early is a real way to damage a new compressor, so we advise on this at delivery.

Can you fit an integrated fridge freezer into my existing housing?

Usually, since integrated appliances follow standard housing dimensions, but we measure the aperture and check the decor door sizes before ordering. We also check the housing has the ventilation the manufacturer requires — a common oversight in fitted kitchens that causes continuous running and early wear.

Do you plumb in water and ice dispensers?

Yes, where there's a suitable cold supply within reach. We fit the supply tee, run and secure the pipework, fit the filter and flush the system through before handing over. If a new supply run is needed we'll assess the route and quote before the installation date.

How quickly can you deliver?

Stocked models are typically delivered and installed within two to three working days across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, with a timed slot. If your existing appliance has failed completely we'll prioritise the delivery, since food loss is time-critical.

Do your fridge freezers come with a guarantee?

Yes, 6 months on parts and labour. Every appliance is run through a full pull-down and hold test with calibrated thermometers in both compartments, has its seals, drains, defrost system and condenser checked with worn parts replaced, and is deep-cleaned before sale.
