Who we are

Appliance Kings LTD ("we", "us") provides domestic appliance repair, sales and maintenance services across Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Hertfordshire. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

What we collect

Enquiry and booking details — your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the appliance and fault, and any message you send us.
Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to receive maintenance tips and offers by email or text.
Technical information — if you accept analytics cookies, aggregated data about how the site is used. Nothing is loaded until you choose.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, book your appointment and carry out the work — this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
To keep records of repairs carried out and honour the guarantee — our legitimate interest and a legal obligation for accounting.
To send marketing messages, but only where you have opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or emailing us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become jobs are deleted after 12 months. Job records are kept for six years to meet HMRC requirements and to honour guarantees. Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate — our form and email providers, our accountant, and payment processors. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
