Washer Dryers for sale
New washer dryers from £379, delivered and installed across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire — with your old one taken away and recycled.
Washer dryers earn their place where floor space is the constraint — flats, Cambridge terraces, converted barn annexes, and kitchens where there is genuinely only one appliance aperture. We supply freestanding and integrated washer dryers from Bosch, Beko, Hotpoint, Indesit, Candy, Hoover, LG, Samsung and AEG, in wash capacities from 7kg to 10kg, and we will be straight with you about the drying capacity, which is always lower than the headline wash figure. We will also tell you when you don't need one. If your utility room could take a washing machine plus a stacked dryer, that combination will outlast a washer dryer, dry twice as much, and cost less to keep running — and we would rather sell you the right thing than the more expensive thing. Where a washer dryer is right, we deliver and install with our own engineers across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire: connected to your supply and waste, transit bolts out, levelled properly, test cycle run, and the old machine taken away for WEEE recycling. Reconditioned washer dryers are available too, each fully stripped, condensing channel descaled, tested through a complete wash and dry, and sold with a 6-month parts and labour guarantee.
What we sell
Before you buy: is repairing cheaper?
Washer dryers sit in a narrower repair window than most appliances because their realistic lifespan is only 6 to 9 years. Apply the 50% rule against a replacement cost of £450–£700 for a mid-range machine. Our part of the sum never moves — a £90 call-out covering the visit, the diagnosis and the labour — so what decides it is the price of the part, which we quote for your approval before fitting. Condensing channel cleans, drain pumps, elements, thermostats, door locks and brushes are almost always worth doing on a machine under five years old. The decision point is drum bearings. That is a three to four and a half hour strip on a machine whose remaining life may be only two or three years, and on a budget washer dryer the answer is usually no. On a premium machine at four years old it can still make sense. Worth considering at replacement time: if your kitchen or utility could take separate machines, they will outlast a washer dryer, dry twice as much per load, and cost less to repair. Environmentally, the manufacturing footprint of a new appliance dwarfs its annual running emissions, so extending the life of a functioning machine is the greener option wherever the economics stack up. We'll give you the real numbers, including the honest ones that mean we don't sell you a repair.

from £90 call-out — that covers the visit, the diagnosis and the labour. Parts are the only extra, quoted for your approval before we fit anything. No hourly rates. 6 months guarantee on parts and labour.
If your machine is worth repairing, we'll tell you — even though selling you a new one earns us more. That's the whole reason people call us back.
How to choose the right washer dryer
Look at the drying capacity, not the wash capacity
A machine advertised as 9kg will typically only dry 5 or 6kg, and some are as low as 4kg. That figure is the one that governs how the machine actually behaves day to day. Buy on the drying number if drying is your main reason for choosing this appliance.
Heat pump washer dryers are now available
A small number of models use a heat pump for the drying phase instead of the mains-water condenser. They cost more and dry more slowly, but they use no extra water and roughly half the electricity of a conventional washer dryer. If you're on a water meter and dry frequently, run the numbers — the payback can be quick.
Combined cycle time is a real consideration
A full non-stop wash-and-dry programme takes three to four hours on most machines. If you need a school-uniform turnaround, check for a quick combined cycle — many machines offer a 60 or 90 minute wash-and-dry for a small 1–2kg load, which is genuinely useful.
Spin speed matters more here than on a washing machine
Every extra 200rpm of spin removes water the dryer would otherwise have to evaporate, and on a washer dryer that directly shortens the drying phase. Aim for 1400rpm. It cuts both cycle time and the heat stress that shortens washer dryer life.
Check the aperture and the ventilation
Standard machines are 600mm wide and 550–600mm deep, and integrated models need a specific 820–830mm high aperture. Washer dryers also reject heat into the room while drying, so a tightly boxed integrated installation with no airflow will dry more slowly. Allow the manufacturer's stated clearances.
Auto-dry sensing versus timed drying
Sensor drying stops when the load is actually dry rather than running a fixed timer, which saves electricity and reduces overheating. It's worth having, and worth keeping the sensor clean of fabric conditioner film. Machines with timed-only drying tend to be over-run habitually.
Water use if you're on a meter
Conventional washer dryers use 40–60 litres of cold water per drying cycle to condense the moisture, on top of the wash water. Most new-build homes in Cambridgeshire are metered, so if you dry several loads a week that's a genuine line item. A heat pump washer dryer eliminates it.
Do you install the washer dryer and remove the old appliance?
Yes, both included as standard. We connect to your existing supply and waste, remove the transit bolts, level the machine, check for leaks and run a test cycle. Your old machine goes for WEEE recycling at no additional cost.
Should I buy a washer dryer or separate machines?
If you have the space for separates, buy separates — they last longer, dry more per load, and cost less to repair. Choose a washer dryer when there is genuinely only one appliance space available. We'd rather give you that advice up front than sell you the wrong machine.
Can you fit a washer dryer in an integrated kitchen?
Yes. We check the aperture, fit or transfer the decor door, set the hinges and anti-tip bracket, and make sure the manufacturer's ventilation clearances are respected so the drying function performs properly. Integrated washer dryers boxed in too tightly dry noticeably slower.
How quickly can you deliver and install?
Stocked models are usually installed within two to three working days across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, with a timed arrival slot. Special orders depend on manufacturer stock and typically take five to ten working days.
Do your washer dryers come with a guarantee?
Yes, 6 months on parts and labour. Every washer dryer has its condensing channel stripped and descaled, wear items replaced, and is tested through a complete wash and dry cycle before it leaves us.
Is a heat pump washer dryer worth the extra?
If you dry frequently and you're on a water meter, often yes — it uses no condensing water and around half the drying electricity. If you dry only occasionally, the conventional machine's lower purchase price and shorter cycle usually wins. We'll work the figures through with you.
