Range Cookers for sale

New range cookers from £899, delivered and installed across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire — with your old one taken away and recycled.

We supply range cookers in 90cm, 100cm, 110cm and 120cm widths from Rangemaster, Stoves, Belling, Smeg, Leisure, Bertazzoni and Montpellier, in all-electric, dual-fuel and all-gas configurations. A range is a significant purchase and a long-term one — most people keep them fifteen years or more — so we spend time on the practical questions first: what your electrical supply can carry, whether the alcove and worktops will accommodate the width and depth, and how the appliance will actually get into the kitchen. Delivery and installation are handled by our own engineers, because a range cooker is a 90 to 120kg appliance that needs careful handling into position and a properly made high-current connection. We check the cooker circuit and isolator rating, position and level the appliance, fit the anti-tip stability bracket, commission every cavity and hob zone, and run each oven up to temperature on test. Gas connections are made by a Gas Safe registered engineer who also verifies burner pressure, flame picture and the stability chain. We remove your old cooker or range for WEEE recycling. Reconditioned ranges are available too, fully tested across every cavity and burner, with our own 6-month parts and labour guarantee.

Before you buy: is repairing cheaper?

Range cookers are the clearest repair case of any appliance we handle. Replacement runs £1,500–£4,000 for a decent 90cm or 110cm range, before you account for installing a 100kg appliance, a high-rated cooker circuit and, on dual-fuel models, a gas connection. Applied against the 50% rule, that leaves an enormous margin for a £110 call-out plus a part. Typical lifespan is 12 to 20 years, and premium brands like Falcon, Britannia and Rangemaster routinely exceed that with routine parts replacement. Because each oven cavity is electrically independent, a failure is usually contained: a dead second oven, a failed grill or a single hob zone is a self-contained repair, not a sign the appliance is finished. Parts availability for the major British brands is genuinely good a decade or more after a model is discontinued, with electronic control boards on obsolete models being the main exception. The environmental case is equally strong. A range cooker is 80 to 120kg of steel, glass and enamel, and its manufacturing footprint is several times that of a standard cooker. Keeping one in service with a new element or a set of hinges is unambiguously the right decision, and it's what we recommend in the great majority of cases.

Buying guide

How to choose the right range cooker

Width: 90cm, 100cm, 110cm or 120cm

90cm typically gives two cavities and five burners; 110cm gives two or three cavities, a wider main oven and six or seven zones. Allow 5–10mm clearance either side plus room for the connection behind. Measure the route in as well — a 110cm range won't turn a tight hallway corner without planning.

Fuel configuration

Dual fuel — gas hob with electric fan ovens — is the most popular for good reason: instant hob control plus even oven baking. All-electric with induction gives the fastest, most controllable hob and the easiest cleaning, but needs the largest electrical supply. All-gas has the lowest per-unit running cost and works in a power cut.

Check your electrical supply capacity first

An all-electric 110cm range can draw over 12kW and typically needs a 45A or greater dedicated circuit with appropriately sized cable. Dual-fuel models draw less but still need a proper cooker circuit. This is the single most common obstacle to a range installation, so establish it before you fall in love with a model.

Number and layout of cavities

Two large cavities suit most families; a three-cavity 110cm gives a main fan oven, a second oven and a separate grill or slow-cook compartment. Think about what you actually cook — a big single main cavity that takes a full-size roasting tin is often more useful than three small ones.

Hob configuration and the wok burner

Gas ranges usually include a high-output wok burner at 4.5–6kW, which is genuinely transformative for stir-frying but demands adequate supply pressure. Also check whether the model offers a griddle or cast simmer plate, and where the largest burners sit relative to your pan storage and workflow.

Cleaning: pyrolytic, catalytic or enamel

Pyrolytic cavities heat to around 480°C and reduce residue to ash, which on a large range cavity is a real labour saving — but it uses 3–4 kWh per clean and needs adequate ventilation. Catalytic liners handle grease at cooking temperatures. Plain easy-clean enamel is cheapest and perfectly manageable if you wipe as you go.

Splashback and extraction planning

A range needs a splashback of the same width and a hood rated for the hob's output — typically 700–1,000 m³/h for a 110cm gas range. Undersizing the extraction is a common and irreversible mistake once the tiling is done. Plan the hood at the same time as the cooker, not afterwards.

Build quality and long-term parts support

Ranges are kept for fifteen to twenty years, so parts availability matters more than on any other appliance. The established British brands — Rangemaster, Falcon, Stoves, Belling, Leisure — have excellent long-term parts support. That's worth weighing against a cheaper import whose elements and hinges may be unobtainable in a decade.

Questions
Do you deliver, install and take the old cooker away?

Yes, all three. Our own engineers handle the delivery because a range is a 90 to 120kg appliance needing careful placement. We check the circuit rating, connect and commission every cavity and zone, fit the stability bracket and test each oven up to temperature. The old appliance goes for WEEE recycling.

Will my existing electrical supply run a range cooker?

It depends on the model. An all-electric 110cm range typically needs a 45A or greater dedicated circuit, while dual-fuel models need less but still require a proper cooker circuit. We check what's installed before you order, and any upgrade should be carried out by a qualified electrician ahead of the fitting date.

Can you get a 110cm range into a tight kitchen?

Usually, but it needs planning. We check the access route — doorways, hallway corners, steps — as part of the pre-delivery conversation rather than discovering a problem on the day. Ranges can generally be manoeuvred on their side or back for short sections where the manufacturer permits it.

Do you fit the gas connection on a dual-fuel range?

The gas connection is made by a Gas Safe registered engineer, who also verifies burner pressure, checks the flexible hose and bayonet fitting and fits the stability chain that gas appliances require. The electrical side and all commissioning of the ovens is handled by our engineers.

How soon can you deliver a range cooker?

Stocked models are usually delivered and installed within three to five working days across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Ranges are more often special order than other appliances given the range of widths and finishes, in which case allow one to three weeks depending on the manufacturer.

Do you sell range cookers?

Yes, when good examples come in. Each is fully tested across every cavity, grill and burner, with worn elements, seals and hinges replaced, and carries our 6-month parts and labour guarantee. Given what a new range costs, a one is a genuinely attractive option for many households.
