Most of Hoddesdon is straightforward to work in, since the suburban streets have driveways, garages and unrestricted parking, and the A10 junction puts an engineer close to the town quickly. The centre is tighter: the High Street and the roads around the Clock House have short-stay bays and limited loading, and there are flats above shops reached only by a shared stair from the pavement.
