Tumble Dryers for sale
New tumble dryers from £229, delivered and installed across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire — with your old one taken away and recycled.
We supply vented, condenser and heat pump tumble dryers from Bosch, Beko, Hotpoint, Indesit, AEG, Zanussi, Samsung, Candy and Hoover, in freestanding and integrated formats and in 7kg to 10kg capacities. Because we also repair these machines, we can tell you which models we rarely see back and which ones we visit far too often — that is not information you get from a national retailer's website. Heat pump dryers are now the sensible default for most households on cost of ownership, and we will show you the actual running-cost difference for your usage rather than quoting a headline energy grade. If you are drying in an unheated garage or outbuilding, though, we will steer you towards a condenser or vented machine instead, because heat pump performance falls off a cliff below 10°C. We also sell fully dryers, each stripped, deep-cleaned of lint, tested through a full cycle and sold with a 6-month guarantee. Delivery and installation across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire is done by our own engineers: we position and level the machine, fit or check the vent ducting, confirm ventilation clearances, run a test cycle, and take the old dryer away for WEEE recycling.
What we sell
Before you buy: is repairing cheaper?
Tumble dryers are one of the better repair propositions because their common failures are inexpensive parts. Apply the 50% rule: a mid-range condenser dryer costs £330–£480 new and a heat pump machine £480–£750, and our side of the sum is a £90 call-out covering the visit, the diagnosis and the labour, with the part quoted for your approval on top. Belts, thermostats, elements, rollers, door catches and condensate pumps all fall comfortably inside that line. Typical lifespan is 8–12 years for vented and condenser machines and 8–10 for heat pump models, where the compressor is the limiting component. The one genuine write-off is a failed sealed refrigerant system on a heat pump dryer — the labour and gas handling rarely justify it against a new machine. There is also a running-cost angle unique to this appliance. If you have an ageing vented dryer costing around £1 a load to run and you dry four loads a week, a heat pump replacement saves roughly £100 a year, so an expensive repair on an old vented machine can be false economy. Environmentally, keeping a working machine out of the waste stream is almost always the better choice, but here the in-use energy saving is large enough to change the maths — we'll walk you through both numbers honestly.
Pick your own slot in the diary — appliance, address and a time that suits you, in about a minute.

from £90 call-out — that covers the visit, the diagnosis and the labour. Parts are the only extra, quoted for your approval before we fit anything. No hourly rates. 6 months guarantee on parts and labour.
If your machine is worth repairing, we'll tell you — even though selling you a new one earns us more. That's the whole reason people call us back.
How to choose the right tumble dryer
Heat pump, condenser or vented
Heat pump uses around 1.5–2.0 kWh per load, condenser and vented around 3.5–4.5 kWh — roughly £100 a year difference for four loads a week. Vented is cheapest to buy and fastest per cycle but needs an outside wall or window. Condenser is the flexible middle ground; heat pump is the long-term cheapest if you'll keep it eight years or more.
Match capacity to your washing machine
A dryer needs more volume than a washer for the same load because clothes must tumble freely. Pair an 8kg washing machine with an 8kg or 9kg dryer, never a 7kg one. Overloading a dryer is the fastest way to long cycles and thermostat failures.
Sensor drying is worth having
Sensor programmes measure conductivity across the load and stop when it's actually dry, rather than running a fixed timer. That saves both electricity and fabric wear, and typically cuts 15–20 minutes off a cycle you'd otherwise over-run. Just keep the sensor bars free of fabric conditioner film.
Check where it will actually live
Condenser and heat pump dryers dump heat and some humidity into the room, so a small sealed cupboard is a poor choice. Allow 50mm behind the machine and ventilation to the room. If it's going in a garage, ambient temperature rules out a heat pump model.
Noise rating for open-plan and upstairs
Heat pump dryers are typically 62–66dB, which is noticeably quieter than a vented machine at 68–72dB, though the compressor adds a low hum some people notice more than broadband noise. If the dryer sits below a bedroom, look for 65dB or under.
Reversible door and hinge side
Check whether the door is reversible before you buy, especially in narrow utility rooms where a wrong-hinged door blocks the walkway. Many condenser dryers have reversible doors; some heat pump models do not. If you're stacking, you also need the correct manufacturer stacking kit — never just sit one on top of the other.
Water tank position
A tank at the top of the machine is far easier to empty than one at the bottom, and matters more than people expect when you're doing it daily. Alternatively, most condenser and heat pump dryers can be plumbed to a direct drain, which we can set up at installation and which removes the chore entirely.
Do you install the dryer and take the old one away?
Yes, both are included. We position and level the machine, check or fit the vent ducting on vented models, confirm you have adequate ventilation clearance, and run a test cycle. The old dryer is removed for WEEE recycling at no extra cost.
Can you plumb a condenser dryer into a drain so I don't empty the tank?
Yes, most condenser and heat pump dryers accept a direct drain kit that runs to the same waste as your washing machine. We can fit this at installation for a small additional charge. It removes the daily tank-emptying job entirely.
Can you stack a dryer on top of my washing machine?
Yes, provided we use the correct manufacturer or universal stacking kit for the two machines. Never stack without one — spin vibration will walk an unsecured dryer off the top. We supply and fit the kit as part of the installation.
Is a heat pump dryer worth the extra money?
If you dry three or more loads a week and will keep the machine for eight years, yes — the electricity saving typically repays the price difference in three to four years. If you dry occasionally, or the machine is going in a cold garage, a condenser dryer is the better buy.
How soon can you deliver?
Stocked models are normally installed within two to three working days across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, with a timed slot rather than an all-day wait. Special orders typically take five to ten working days depending on manufacturer stock.
Do your dryers come with a guarantee?
Yes, 6 months on parts and labour, the same as our repair work. Every dryer is stripped, deep-cleaned of lint including the element chamber and fan housing, has any worn belts, rollers or seals replaced, and is run through a full test cycle before sale.
