It does not manufacture most of what it sells; the products are sourced from various European and Far Eastern factories and badged as CDA, which means quality varies noticeably across the range. The ovens and hobs are generally sound; some of the dishwashers and integrated refrigeration are more basic.
For repair purposes the key point is that CDA runs its own spares operation, and parts are model-specific rather than shared with a big manufacturer. That is workable for current and recent products but can be a dead end for discontinued lines, so the first thing we do on an older CDA is check that the part still exists. The faults themselves are conventional: elements, fan motors and thermostats on ovens; drain and door problems on dishwashers; fan and thermostat faults on integrated fridges. Because these are built-in appliances, replacement means paying for the fitting as well, so repair is usually the cheaper route when parts are available.

What goes wrong with CDA appliances
Oven element and fan motor failures
The usual built-in oven complaints: no heat, slow heating or uneven browning from a failed fan element, and noise then stalling from a worn fan motor. Both are standard parts and straightforward to change once the oven is drawn out of the housing.
Touch control and programmer faults
On electronic models, steam and heat degrade the control panel so buttons stop responding or the display goes blank, and the oven cannot be set. The module is replaceable while it remains in production, which is the limiting factor on older units.
Dishwasher drainage and sump blockages
Filters and the sump clog, the machine leaves water in the bottom, and eventually the pump fails from running against the blockage. Regular filter cleaning prevents most of these, and the repair is inexpensive when it is done promptly.
Integrated fridge and freezer thermostat faults
Integrated units run warm or freeze the contents when the thermostat or sensor fails, and the fan on frost-free models can ice up. The parts are cheap; the labour is longer than on a freestanding unit because the appliance has to come out of the housing.
Model-specific parts becoming unavailable
