Grundig appliance repair
Yes, up to about eight or nine years. Grundig appliances cost more to buy than Beko but repair at Beko prices, so the sums work out well. The usual exception is a sealed-tub bearing failure, where the part cost makes replacement the sensible choice.

documented
Grundig is a German brand now owned by Arçelik, the Turkish group behind Beko, and its appliances are built on Arçelik platforms with higher-grade materials, better insulation and more considered controls than the Beko equivalents. It is positioned as the group's premium offering, and in fairness it does feel a step up — quieter laundry, better-finished interiors, and features like the fresh-air drying systems on the dryers.
For repair purposes the shared parentage is a significant advantage. Many components are common with Beko, so parts are cheap, widely stocked and quick to arrive, and any engineer who knows Beko knows the layout. The faults follow the same pattern too: drain pumps and filters, door interlocks, heating elements in hard water, and defrost failures on frost-free refrigeration. Because Grundig appliances cost more than Beko but repair at Beko prices, the economics of fixing them are better than the brand's price point would suggest. We would generally recommend repairing a Grundig up to eight or nine years old.
Parts and availability
Grundig shares most of its parts with Beko, so availability is excellent and prices are low — pumps, interlocks and elements are commonly £20–£40 with next-day delivery. Model-specific fascias and premium display modules cost more and can take a few days.

What goes wrong with Grundig appliances
Drain pump and filter blockages
The machine stops with water in the drum after the filter or pump impeller clogs. It is the most common Grundig laundry fault, shared with the rest of the Arçelik range, and it is quick and inexpensive to put right if it is caught before the pump burns out.
Door interlock failures
The interlock stops confirming the door is locked, so the machine will not start or will not release at the end of a cycle. The part is cheap and shared with Beko. The door hook should be checked at the same time, since a worn hook shortens the life of the new interlock.
Heating element scaling and failure
Hard water across Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire scales the element, and eventually it fails or leaks to earth and trips the RCD. Machines run only on cool eco cycles suffer most. A monthly hot maintenance wash genuinely helps.
Frost-free refrigeration defrost faults
A failed defrost heater, sensor or thermal fuse lets ice build on the evaporator, blocking airflow so the fridge warms while the freezer stays cold. It is a repairable fault and much cheaper than the compressor failure owners usually fear.
Heat pump dryer condenser fouling
The evaporator matts with fine lint and drying performance drops off while cycle times increase. The secondary filter behind the kickplate needs cleaning far more often than most owners realise, and a fully fouled condenser needs stripping and flushing.
