Siemens Oven Repair in Flitwick: Fan Element & Motor

Fan not spinning fixed

Is your oven blowing cold air or making a loud rattling noise? We recently completed a repair on a built-in Siemens oven right here in Flitwick, replacing both the fan element and the fan motor. Here is a look at the repair process. Diagnosing the Fault The customer reported that their main oven was no longer heating up, despite the thermostat light coming on. To access the internal components, we opened the oven door, set down our drill, and removed the rear interior panel. Testing the components behind this panel revealed two related faults: the circular fan element had burned out, and the fan motor itself was failing.  The Culprit: Element & Motor Failure The Fan Element: These heating coils endure extreme temperature fluctuations. Over time, the internal wire degrades, eventually breaking the circuit and stopping all heat production. The Fan Motor: A failing motor often struggles to spin at full speed or develops worn bearings. If a motor slows down or seizes, it cannot properly distribute the heat. This lack of airflow often causes the fan element to overheat and burn out prematurely. The Fix & Prevention We swapped out the faulty motor and blown element for brand-new parts, restoring this sleek Siemens oven to perfect working order.  To help prevent this in your Flitwick home: Keep it Clean: Heavy grease buildup on the fan blades can throw the motor off balance and wear out the bearings. Don't Block Airflow: Avoid covering the oven floor or racks in foil, which traps heat and stresses the element.
